About the Department Facilities Subjects of study   Faculty Profile


  • We, staff members shall strive hard to impart knowledge and state of art training to our students and to expose them to the current and broad areas of Mechanical Engineering namely design, manufacturing, energy and thermal science so that they can later practice their profession both at home and abroad and be instrumental in bringing out overall technological developments for the nation.

    Enrich their knowledge to carry out research and development activities.
    Create self confidence to become successful entrepreneurs.

Programme Educational Objrctives (PEOs)
  • PEO 1: To prepare the students to excel in their professional career by acquiring knowledge in the fields of engineering, technology, applied science & management.
    PEO 2: To make the students to be familiar with modern engineering software tools and equipments to carryout research and development activities and capable of meeting the challenges in the industries.
    PEO 3: To make the students to improve their communication skills, confidence, courage, ethical attitude, professionalism, administrative skills, and team work and capable of analyzing real life problems, industrial disputes and managerial problems.
    PEO 4: To motivate the students to become a successful entrepreneur and to serve the society and nation.

Programme Outcomes (POs)
  • PO1. Graduates will be able to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals to solve complex engineering problems.
    PO2. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to identify, formulate and analyze mechanical engineering problems, using the principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.
    PO3. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to design mechanical engineering based systems, components or processes that meet desired specifications and requirements with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental issues.
    PO4. Graduates will be able to use research-based knowledge and research methods such as design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide appropriate solutions to complex mechanical engineering problems.
    PO5. Graduates will be familiar with modern engineering and software tools and equipments to analyze complex mechanical engineering problems.
    PO6. Graduates will be able to assess societal health, safety, legal and cultural issues relevant to the professional engineering practice.
    PO7. Graduates will be able to understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate their knowledge for sustainable development.
    PO8. Graduates will be able to understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
    PO9. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
    PO10. Graduates will be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms and make effective presentations.
    PO11. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects.
    PO12. Graduates will be able to engage in independent and life-long learning in the context of technological change.
