Mission

         The department of automobile engineering functions with the prime goal of imparting sound and proper mix of theory and practical courses in the fundamentals and recent technological developments of automobile engineering and allied disciplines to the students, so that the students, on completion of the course, get good opportunities in industries and higher education. The other objectives of the department are promotion of research and development activities, providing consultancy services to the Industries and conducting continuing education programmes.

Vision

         To develop the institution as a centre of excellence, providing value added education with all R&D facilities to offer solutions to industrial development, moulding youth to practice engineering profession with confidence, courage, competence and integrity, gaining international acceptance.

Short-term goals

1. To provide our students with specialized and specific short-term programmes based on the employment objectives and industrial needs.
2. To achieve more than 90% of results in forth coming Anna university examinations and produce more Engineering Graduates in the academic year 2009-2010.
3. To conduct a minimum of 10 technical guest lecturers to students by the experts in the filed through the association.

Long-term goals

1. To make use of full involvement of alumni association in order to achieve our long goals and to fulfill our vision and mission.
2. To help the staff to keep pace with latest technology in their discipline.
